La Piadina del Melarancio in Province of Ravenna

"My goodness, the taste of this bread!! I could eat just the bread but then to add mozzarella and mushrooms and then warmed it. It was heaven. Yummy!! I went in for a snack and ended up ordering another one, making it my full lunch. If I lived in Ravenna I’d be in trouble, eating there everyday! Also whoever I worked with discussing my order and paying, she was the most friendly person I have met. WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!"

"I was really looking forward to trying my first piadina on our trip to Emilia-Romagna. I ordered the traditional one with prosciutto crudo and squacquerone cheese and my husband had one with sausage, onions, and peppers. The piadinas are huge and a real bargain at 7 euros. You order at the counter, they call your number, and you pick it up and bring it back to your table. There are ample seats in the restaurant and it has interesting decor. I should have realized that since I don't like soft tortillas, I probably wouldn't like piadinas, and the filling was very good, especially the cheese. I enjoyed the experience of eating a piadina, and I think I chose the best place to try one in Ravenna."

"You need to try it! There are lots to choose from but if you never tried it before, then I recommend to try the classic ones! Super fresh, full of flavour, savoury or sweet they are just delicious! Friendly staff and nice sitting area. We had this for lunch and were full for the rest of the day and skipped dinner."

"The place to go for a piadina! There are a few tables outdoors, but also indoors. I tried the piadina with smoked scamorza and caramelised figs. Also tried the crescione with mozzarella and tomatoes. Absolutely delicious!"

At first we found the menu a bit confusing (mainly due to our lack of Italian) but basically you need to order a base and then add additional toppings, or you can order one of their choices (can’t go wrong with the Tradizionale).
